For family historians
You can find out more about carrying out research in the NAS by visiting our Search Rooms page and Family History page.

For groups
Although we welcome visitors, the NAS Search Rooms are not able to accommodate large groups. If you are the leader of a group interested in family history, please contact enquiries@nas.gov.uk as far in advance as possible, and we will advise on how to make the best use of your time in Edinburgh. Please allow at least two weeks for a response.
