News: Electronic Records Guidance

The National Records of Scotland (NRS) has published some new guidance on managing electronic records in the record keeping section of the NRS website.

The guidance has been provided to support public authorities who are working towards compliance with the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011, but the principles and practices outlined are relevant to all organisations.

The guidance covers starting points for electronic records management; simple ways to improve how you manage your electronic records; electronic records management systems; and standards and requirements for electronic records management.

A brief overview of each subject is provided, together with links to more detailed guidance and other resources, drawn from external sources.
