NAS Annual Report 2004-5 published

The Keeper's Annual Report for 2004-5 is now available online. It contains information about all areas of the work of the National Archives of Scotland, including the key measurements of our performance, and a useful section on what records have been added to our holdings during the year.

The Report provides an insight into the NAS's public face, but also the work of the cataloguing, conservation and other branches which support public access to our records and services. Special articles address particular topics and issues of current importance, such as the Scottish Family History Service project, the Registers Archive Conversion project, and the cataloguing of the wills of Scottish soldiers.

The Report also features summaries of surveys of privately-held records, which are surveyed by the National Register of Archives for Scotland, and the work of the Scottish Records Advisory Council, which advises ministers about custody, preservation and access and other issues of concern to the archive community.

Previous Annual Reports are also available in the corporate information section of the website.
