Vacancies in the National Archives of Scotland

The National Archives of Scotland (NAS) is part of the National Records of Scotland (NRS) is headed by the Keeper of the Records of Scotland and is staffed by civil servants. It employs about 160 members of staff, including archivists, conservators, ICT and other specialists and administrative staff. Recruitment of staff is carried out through the Scottish Government's Human Resources. Adverts for posts will appear below, in the national press and on the Scottish Government website.

In recent years, the NAS has created (subject to funding) two year-long placements in a junior curatorial grade, aimed specifically at giving experience to people who intend to undertake an archive diploma course or are undertaking the course by distance learning.
